WaveRider to Acquire TTI Wireless

Wireless Internet product provider WaveRider Communications Inc. (Toronto) plans to acquire TTI Wireless (Cleveland). TTI designs and manufactures wireless radio frequency communications systems and offers wireless data, bridging, and LAN connectivity systems in both licensed and unlicensed frequencies.

With data throughput speeds for wireless bridge products ranging from 2 to 11 Mbps, the acquisition of TTI gives WaveRider an expanded product portfolio. TTI has an existing customer base, which includes more than 1,000 installations worldwide and distribution arrangements with 75 value added resellers (VARs) in 50 countries. TTI also has developed and holds the distribution rights for a number of accessories and other wireless networking devices, including VOIP systems, 23GHz microwave systems, antennas, and amplifiers.
