Wavecom Partners with PI Componentes to Extend Presence in Latin America
Issy-les-Moulineaux, France -- Wavecom SA, a provider of pre-packaged wireless communications solutions, and PI Componentes, an electronic component distributor, today announced a distribution partnership in Brazil. According to the terms of the agreement, PI Componentes will provide sales and distribution services, as well as customer support for Wavecom's line of integrated GSM/GPRS and CDMA wireless modules and modems.
The partnership extends Wavecom's reach throughout Brazil, providing OEMs and device manufacturers in the region access to a broad range of wireless technology solutions. PI Componentes is a specialized distributor of integrated circuits in Brazil and currently has partnerships with eight electronics equipment companies. Adding Wavecom gives PI Componentes' customers a complementary technology that is in increasing demand in the Brazilian market.
