W-CDMA Power Measurement Software

A beta-version code domain power measurement software package has been released to help designers develop wideband CDMA (W-CDMA) base stations. When used in conjunction with the HP 89400 series vector signal analyzer, this software package can verify whether or not a W-CDMA base station is transmitting correct coding for all symbol rates. The software transfers signal information from the signal analyzer to a PC. The software then performs W-CDMA code-domain power measurements on the signal information. Code-domain power can be determined for each of the 16 time slots in a frame. A composite view can then simultaneously display all symbols and codes.
