Voltage Converter/Voltage Doubler

National Semiconductor's LM2664 switched capacitor voltage converter and LM2665 switched capacitor voltage doubler are suited for cellular phone, pager, and personal digital assistant (PDA) applications. The LM2664 inverts a positive voltage in the +1.8 to +5.5 VDC range to the corresponding negative voltage in the -1.8 to -5.5 VDC range. This converter uses two capacitors to provide up to 40 mA output current. The LM2665 serves as a voltage doubler for supply voltages in the +2.5 to +5.5 VDC range. It can also serve as a voltage divider--splitting in half voltages in the +1/8 to +11 VDC range. Both products operate from a 160 MHz oscillator frequency and are housed in an SOT-23-6 package.
