Engineered for wireless local loop (WLL) applications, DSP Software Engineering's voice fax data relay (VFDR) software solution transparently compresses handset, fax, and data telephone signals into a baseband data rate for transmission over digital links. Once received, compressed signals are converted back to analog and transmitted for conventional processing by the receiving handset, fax, or data modem. The new software solution is available for Texas Instruments' (TI's) C3x and C54x DSP platforms.
