Motorola Inc.'s Worldwide Solutions Division added the VRM 660 to its external modem portfolio. The modem is a compact, low-power, 3-watt mobile packet radio modem for wireless connectivity between mobile computers and an organization's host computer through Motorola's Private DataTAC networks. Operating in the UHF or 800 MHz bands, the VRM 600 was built to withstand harsh mobile operating conditions.
