Trimble Groups Win ISO-9001 Certification

Trimble's Software and Component Technologies (SCT) and Printed Circuit Assembly (PCA) groups have received ISO-9001 certification.

"We are extremely pleased to have received ISO-9001 certification," says David Hall, vice president and general manager of Trimble's SCT Group. "Since our products are sold internationally and are used in a variety of applications, it is important that we provide the confidence of ISO-9001 certification to our customers."

Registration was granted by Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI), an independent, third-party registrar that is accredited in Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, and the US. According to Trimble, ISO-9001 compliance is an ongoing process. An internal auditing team and a management review team will continuously monitor Trimble's quality system for effectiveness as well as drive continuous process improvement. In addition, a representative from BVQI will carry out surveillance audits every six months.

Trimble develops GPS satellite-based navigation, positioning, and communication products. The company also manufactures and sells GPS engines for the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) market.
