London /PRNewswire/ - Telit, a global enabler of the Internet of Things (IoT), today announced that T-Mobile US has certified its first LTE Category 11 module: the Telit LM940. With support for up to 600 Mbps theoretical peak downlinks and 75 Mbps theoretical peak uplinks, the LM940 gives businesses, government agencies and other organizations a powerful new connectivity option for remote/branch office routers, gateways and other bandwidth-intensive applications.

The LM940 features a mini PCIe form factor and support for all LTE Cat 11 capabilities, including 256 QAM and carrier aggregation for maximum performance and reliability. It also supports 20 LTE bands, giving systems integrators and end users maximum deployment flexibility, allowing T-Mobile customers to export their LM940-based products globally as a single model.

The certification is the latest milestone in Telit's longstanding relationship with T-Mobile and in June 2017, T-Mobile certified the LE910-NA1 LTE Category 1 IoT module and added it as an option for T-Mobile's IoT Access packs.

"By certifying the Telit LM940, T-Mobile's enterprise customers and business partners now have an LTE Cat 11 option for bandwidth-intensive, mission-critical applications such as branch/remote office SD-WANs," said Manish Watwani, Telit Executive Vice President of Global Product Management. "It's the latest example of Telit's leadership in providing next-generation modules that leverage next-generation networks such as T-Mobile's."

The LM940 module boasts a power-efficient platform and is the ideal solution for commercial and enterprise applications in the network appliance and router industry, such as branch office connectivity, LTE failover, digital signage, kiosks, pop-up stores, vehicle routers, construction sites and more. The module includes Linux and Windows driver support. The product family also includes the LM960, the word's first Gigabit LTE data card (Cat 18), fully compatible with the LM940.
