Taibah University Has Been Granted A Patent For Its Work In Satellite Engineering And Radar Systems

Taibah University has secured a US patent for its researchers in the fields of satellite engineering and radar systems. The patent covers an advanced technology for processing and synchronizing high-frequency signals, thereby enhancing the efficiency of modern radar and communication systems.

The technology relies on detecting phase differences in high-frequency signals and enables direct phase synchronization at frequencies of 77 GHz and above—without the need for frequency dividers. This facilitates circuit miniaturization and reduces power consumption while allowing for integration into highly compact, high-density systems.

The technology contributes to faster signal synchronization, reduced latency at high frequencies, lower power consumption, and minimized phase noise and signal jitter—resulting in improved signal stability. It also enhances the accuracy and efficiency of systems used in modern communication and radar applications.

Key applications of this technology include automotive radar and communication systems, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites, 6G networks, and Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) antenna systems.
