Safco Introduces Portable CDMA T&M Tool

Chicago, IL-based Safco Technologies Inc., a Salient 3 Communications company (Reading, PA), is debuting a CDMA version of its Portable VoicePrint product. Portable VoicePrint is an automated tool designed to measure, test and evaluate wireless communications systems.

Portable VoicePrint for CDMA automatically collects and analyzes call quality data on both forward and reverse paths. Designed for network optimization and benchmarking, Portable VoicePrint helps RF engineers measure network performance, locate trouble spots, plan expansion, evaluate new technologies and analyze network changes over time. The 10-lb Portable VoicePrint measures 13 x 11.5 x 5.5 in. (33 x 29 x 14 cm.).

In addition to CDMA, Portable VoicePrint supports the GSM and iDEN standard air interface technologies. SAFCO plans to incorporate support for additional standard air interface technologies such as TDMA and N/AMPS later this year.

Portable VoicePrint for CDMA will be on display in SAFCO's booth at the TELEXPO '99 wireless industry exposition in Sao Paulo, Brazil, March 23-26, 1999.
