Designed to ease integration of leading GPS technology into devices

Richardson RFPD, Inc. announced recently the availability and full design support capabilities for a new GPS antenna module sub-system from Maestro Wireless Solutions.

The A2135-H combines an enhanced, fully-functional SiRFStar IV GPS engine and a customdesigned high directional patch antenna on-board. It presents a solution to the most critical challenges in the GPS market: simplified integration, leading performance, and efficient time-tomarket.

The A2135-H meets the demands for extreme low-power operation and ultra-fast Time To First Fix (TTFF). Its high level of sensitivity allows for use in the most demanding environmental conditions, including fleet management, asset-tracking, vehicle-tracking, personal-tracking, and portable device applications.

According to Maestro Wireless, additional key features of the A2135-H include:

  • Lowest assembly cost: SMT based integrated GPS antenna module
  • Small footprint: 17.8 x 16.5 mm2
  • Ultra-low power consumption: 29 mA average tracking (full power mode)
  • Benchmarking sensitivity: -163 dBm tracking
  • In-band jamming signal removal: up to 8 strongest interferes signals detected and mitigated
