Rapid Deployment Communications System

RAPIDNET is an integrated wireless/wireline rapid deployment communications system. The product line permits military, civil or commercial users to deploy mission-critical communications instantly. This unique system provides the functionality of both a wireless and wireline central office network switch in two lightweight transit cases.

Both RAPIDNET - T and RAPIDNET - E can directly interconnect up to 96 wireline users and offer data speeds of up to 64kbps. The line's wireless capability is based on the TDMA IS-136 digital standard, permitting the use of commercial-off-the-shelf fixed and mobile terminals. The standard RAPIDNET -T configuration offers up to 11 digital traffic channels with a capacity of 150 wireless users. The expanded RAPIDNET - E configuration offers up to 47 digital traffic channels with a capacity of 600 wireless users.
