Motorola Inc.'s Worldwide Data Solutions Division introduced the PRM 660 portable radio modem. The unit, which operates in the UHF or 800 MHz bands, was designed for use on Motorola's private DataTAC networks and provides wireless connectivity between notebook computers or data terminals and a host computer. The PRM 660 weighs approximately 16 ounces, is battery operated and includes an internal and flip-up antenna. Different features include: message store and forward capabilities, liquid-crystal display and a battery charging light-emitting diode.
