QUALCOMM Acquires Wireless Data Software Company

QUALCOMM has purchased the assets of Navtek Corp., a wireless data software company based in the Washington, DC area. Navtek's workforce will join QUALCOMM's OmniTRACS division and will remain in the Washington, DC area as an East Coast development center for OmniTRACS software products.

Navtek has developed wireless data software for over nine years. There are currently 4,000 users operating Navtek's METCOM software and more than 180 customers running Navtek's FLEETMAN product.
