Processor and Companion Chip

The StrongARM SA-1110 processor and the SA-1111 companion chip have been added to the StrongARM product portfolio. The processor and chip provide increased memory and I/O design flexibility for handheld product manufacturers and complement the performance and power of the SA-1100 processor and SA-1101 companion chip.

The pair enables new capabilities in handheld computing devices such as software-based communications, palm-size devices, and smart phones; providing improved speech recognition, and better handwriting recognition. The processor operates at 133 MHz at 1.55 V and at 206 MHz at 1.75 V. The processor and chip are available in a 256 mini-BGA package.
