Omnipoint Technologies Inc.rings, CO-based <%=company%> has introduced its GSM communication wireless modules for Europe supporting 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, and 1900 MHz frequency bands. The Redhawk II GSM wireless data terminal and Eagle II OEM module will feature full data and voice capabilities, GPRS-ready hardware and a small form factor. Additionally, to support application development and integration, the company is expanding its Developer Partner Program to include support for 900 MHz and 1800 MHz.

"No longer is the imagination limited by geography or technology," said Jeff Newman, director of the Wireless Solutions Division for Omnipoint Technologies. "Now, anyone can develop their wireless applications and take their ideas virtually around the world."

The Redhawk II is a compact wireless data modem that connects to literally any device capable of generating or receiving data. It is the right choice for anyone who wants to exploit wireless data without hardware engineering or complicated programming. The Eagle II is a self-contained GSM radio module that includes everything needed to integrate GSM communications into any product or application. Both the Redhawk and the Eagle are fully-type approved (GSM, FCC, CE Mark) and available at 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, and 1900 MHz.

The Developer Partner Program provides all of the hardware, software, and training support to incorporate GSM communications into virtually any application or product portfolio. The program offers a CD-ROM that includes a comprehensive training program that explains GSM, GSM data services, and other key concepts. The CD-ROM uses a step-by-step overview of the development process for both external and embedded applications, and sample software applets in Visual Basic and ANSI C to reduce development time.

Products are expected to be available in the second quarter of this year.
