The SNAP2410 is a network access point for use with the WIT2410, the company's 2.4 GHz Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) radio modem. The combination delivers to OEMs far-ranging, powerful and versatile communications solution for today's wireless LAN applications, according to the company.

The product supports up to 62 WIT2410 wireless modems and offers simplified deployment using 10BaseT Ethernet connectivity. In addition, multiple network access points can be used to establish large coverage areas through which the wireless remotes can roam, without having to resynchronize.

The SNAP2410 employs an air data rate of 460 kbps. Point-to-point or point-to-multipoint communications are supported in either CSMA or TDMA mode. NEMA and IP-rated aluminum enclosures allow it to be used even in harsh indoor/outdoor environments.
