Mobilink Selects Telelogic's SDT for GSM Baseband Processor

In a release at the Embedded systems Conference (ESC) West showcase, Telelogic announced an agreement with Mobilink Telecom. Under the pact, Mobilink has selected Telogic's specification description language design tool (SDT) to develop a single-chip baseband processor for GSM handsets. Mobilink used SDT's message sequence charts, the SDT simulator, and Cadvanced tools to develop use cases, execute real-time simulations, and build the host and target environments for this GSM chip.

Mobilink's ML2000 processor contains all analog and digital baseband processing functions on a single chip. It also includes interface functions and drivers so that auxiliary components, such as a microphone or a speaker, directly connect to the chip.

Telelogic's SDT product is a set of integrated software tools used to manage and automate the development and maintenance process of real-time communicating systems. SDT provides tools for each phase of system design: analysis, specification and design, verification, validation, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
