Lynx Supports MCG's CompactPCI Systems

Lynx Real-Time Systems announced at the Embedded Systems Conference West show that it will support Motorola Computer Group's (MCG's) CPX8000 family of CompactPCI systems. Trough the agreement, Lynx will offer its LynxOS real-time operating system (RTOS) for MCG's CompactPCI designs.

MCG released CPX8000 family in October . These CompactPCI systems are designed to offer five nines availability. Thus, they only experience 5 minutes and 15 seconds of downtime a year.

Motorola is offering starter kits for the CPX8000 family. These kits include a LynxOS demonstration module and a LynxOS CPX8216 software support kit.
