Lucent Selects ISOTEL TDMA Software

ISOTEL has been awarded a contract to supply its ISO-130A/IS-135 software to Lucent Technologies. Under the agreement, Lucent will incorporate the ISOTEL software in its wireless network infrastructure equipment.

The IS-130A/IS-135 protocols have been developed by the TIA to support asynchronous data and fax operations on TDMA digital cellular networks. These operations provide users with wireless access to conventional data services, such as Internet and e-mail, over standard TDMA traffic channels.

TIA's software products provide the protocol stacks needed to support IS-130/IS-135 circuited-switched data services in infrastructure products. In addition, the software delivers interfaces to mobile switching center (MSC) call processing, base station controller (BSC) call processing, and public-switched telephone network (PSTN) modem system elements.
