Li-ion Battery Protection Circuit
The UCC3952 IC protects the lithium-ion (Li-ion) cells employed in cellular phones, pagers, and personal digital assistants (PDAs) from over-charging and over-discharging
N/A IC protects the lithium-ion (Li-ion) cells employed in cellular phones, pagers, and personal digital assistants (PDAs) from over-charging and over-discharging. The IC's cell protection features consist of internally trimmed charge and discharge voltage limits, discharge current limit with delayed shutdown, and an ultra-low-current sleep mode state when the cell is discharged. The IC also features an on-chip MOSFET and a charge pump. The battery protection IC is housed in an 18-pin bump-chip-carrier (BCC), 16-pin TSSOP, or 16-pin SOIC package.
