Lexycom Introduces Ethernet Data Interface For Its SDR Transceivers

Longmont, CO -- Lexycom Technologies Inc., a manufacturer of software defined radios, announces the release of the Ethernet interface for its software defined radio transceivers.

The Tiamis-800 software defined radio transceiver (SDR), when equipped with the Ethernet interface option, requires almost no initial configuration as the majority of the Ethernet settings are automatically determined by the transceiver. The Lexycom Tiamis-800 automatically negotiates the Ethernet speed (10Base-T or100Base-T) as well as choosing between full- and half-duplex operations. It even has a built-in MDI/MDI-X auto crossover function. The Tiamis-800 SDR with the Ethernet interface option acts as a wireless Ethernet bridge that is transparent to all Ethernet protocols and can easily replace or extend an existing hard-wired Ethernet system.

Operating in the 900 MHz frequency band, this Ethernet bridge is able to avoid interference by utilizing spread spectrum frequency hopping technology. The Lexycom Ethernet solution is packed with detailed RFC1757 compliant Ethernet statistics, making it suitable for wireless Ethernet communications.
