LCD Module

The DMF-50316 is a new 240 x 64 LCD module designed for a variety of applications requiring long product lifespan including industrial, retail point-of-sale, test/measurement and monitoring equipment. A CCFL backlight with a 50,000 hour life span helps ensure reliability and display longevity. The monochrome LCD module also features a contrast ratio of 50:1 making readability particularly easy under all types of lighting. The combination of longevity and easy readability make it ideal for use in applications where high performance, high reliability LCDs are a must.

The device's surface luminance is 130 candelas. Brightness is uniform because the backlight tube runs the entire length of the module. The light does not have to travel far from tube-to-screen, and there is significantly less diffusion than with LCDs having a small tube design. Overall dimensions (mm) are 180.0 x 70.0 x 14.0, and viewing area (mm) is 132.0 x 39.0 with a dot pitch of 0.53 x 0.53. The LCD also features an onboard controller IC, the TC963C controller, and 64K SRAM.
