Wireless Internet-connected microscope, transformable into many other scopes, launches on Kickstarter

Irvine, CA (PRWEB) - Inmowi Inc. is bringing to market the first Multifunction Interchangeable Wireless Internet (Miwi) Scope through Kickstarter, a platform that funds creative projects and new products through the power of crowdsourcing.

The Miwi scope, created by a father-daughter design team, is an Internet-connected wireless microscope that can be transformed into a borescope, dermascope, otoscope, laryngoscope, dental scope, an iriscope, and more. It can also wirelessly connect conventional high-power desktop microscopes and telescopes to the Internet. Miwi can stream live video to multiple smartphones and tablets in the same room or anywhere in the world. It has a multitude of exciting applications in science education, collaborative discovery, collection hobbies, remote technical consultation, home care, telemedicine, and patient education.

“Miwi is an incredibly versatile product and is the first of its kind." Says high school senior and co-creator of Miwi, Biyonka Liang, "Whether it's streaming your discoveries to friends near and far, connecting a doctor in New York City to a patient in Nairobi, teaching students about plants or cellular division, or even inspecting the inside of a car engine, Miwi can help do that. And not only that, it's easy, affordable, and really fun to use!"

A unique feature of the Miwi Kickstarter campaign is a limited Super Early Bird Beta package, which will send backers a beta production of Miwi shortly after the Kickstarter campaign ends (expected ship date is in January 2015) to seek their feedback. “Feedback from our backers is very important,” says Dr. Ping Liang, co-creator of Miwi and a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors, “we want to improve Miwi based on the feedback from our users.” Three months later, the backers will receive an improved version based on their feedback. They will receive two Miwis for the price of one. The early beta version (fully functional) is for them to keep as a souvenir.

Miwi’s patent-pending technologies include standard USB based interchangeability and dual Internet-and-Local connectivity. More details of Miwi and its design team can be found at their Kickstarter profile page located at https://www.kickstarter.com/profile/miwi
