HP Unveils Design Flow Partners Program

Agilent Technologieslp engineers achieve a smooth design flow between Hewlett-Packard (HP) electronic design automation (EDA) tools and products from other EDA vendors, <%=company%> has unveiled the Design Flow Partners Program.

The new program provides customized, co-developed design solutions for engineers creating a read/write interface to the HP intermediate file format (IFF). HP IFF is an ASCII-based file-exchange management mechanism for both schematic and layout transfers that provides a link between HP's Advanced Design System, Series IV and Microwave Design System design tools and the frameworks of third-party EDA vendors.

Mentor Graphics is the first vendor involved in the program. As a member of this program, Mentor is offering a bi-directional interface between HP's design tools and its BoardStation and Design Architect products.
