Gore-Shield® SMT EMI Gasket- Building Blocks

GORE-SHIELD® SMT EMI Gasket Building Blocks are comprised of a thin precision cut, solderable metal support layer laminated to Gore's proven GS5200 gasket material. The blocks are packaged in EIA standard tape-and-reel format, ready for installation using your existing SMT equipment. By coupling the two materials together into an SMT tape form, it gives the user a method for rapidly designing a low cost, custom EMI gasket at printed circuit board level. Just by piecing together a series of blocks of identical (or different) length on the ground trace of the PCB, a simple and efficient EMI shield can be formed. The EMI gasket now merely becomes a standard PCB component. GORE-SHIELD SMT gaskets are available in 5.5mm, 8.0mm, and 12.0mm lengths, and 1.25mm, 1.1mm, and 2.0mm widths. Parts narrower than 1.0mm are currently under development. Standard SMT tape widths are 12mm, 16mm, and 24mm.
