Glass sealing preforms, advanced solutions for hermetic seal packaging have been introduced. The glass sealing preforms are used in high-volume production of hermetic glass-to-metal seals where preformed frames, multi-hole parts and rings permit the introduction of a finite amount of sealing glass into the automatic seal process. The glass sealing preforms can be customized to match the expansion coefficients of various metals.
Where conditions warrant a harder, stronger and higher thermally conductive seal, Hybralox is offered. Used in the automotive, telecom and semiconductor markets, Hybralox is a series of alumina-loaded glasses that allow both thermal expansion matching, as well as desired sealing temperatures in both match and compression glasses.
In addition, the company offers precision glass tubing for microcircuit packaging for hermetic seals. These glass components provide seals against hostile environments for electronics ranging from small home electronics to satellite communications.
