Giga-tronics' Microsource Subsidiary Receives $5.1 Million Award From SpectraPoint
The Microsource subsidiary (Santa Rosa, CA) of Giga-tronics Inc. (San Ramon, CA) won a contract award in excess of $5 million for Node Local Oscillator Assemblies (NLOAs) from SpectraPoint Wireless. The order, received in the second fiscal quarter, was included in the backlog reported at the end of that period. Product delivery starts in this fiscal quarter and should be completed over the next nine months.
Bob Smith, president of Microsource, said "this award is the fourth in a series of orders received by Microsource from SpectraPoint Wireless for these NLOAs."
SpectraPoint Wireless, formerly Bosch Telecom Inc., now owned jointly by Motorola and Cisco Systems, manufactures and markets high speed, broadband wireless systems for Local Multipoint Distribution Services (LMDS).
