Galtronics, a global leader in innovative cellular telephone antenna technology, announced today it is expanding its Phoenix, Arizona facilities and recruiting personnel to accommodate growth in demand for its high performance wireless solutions. The corporate expansion includes a new international headquarters office, senior management team, design center facilities, and corporate research and development center.

Recognizing the benefits of global coordination, the company established worldwide headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona in January. "The new Phoenix facility is a significant investment to better serve our customers," said Thomas W. Larkin, President and Chief Executive Officer. "Many of our customers have international design centers in the United States. Our new headquarters location enables us to remain close to them throughout the design and development process."

Mr. Larkin, who has executive management experience with several Fortune 50 companies as well as entrepreneurial ventures, leads the new senior management team. A Certified Public Accountant with 17 years of financial management experience, Ted C. Carlson serves as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Leslie J. Reading, Vice President and Chief Technical Officer, has extensive expertise in antenna and radio frequency systems design. Robert H. Swelgin, Vice President of Operations, brings 20 years of high-tech operations management experience to Galtronics. James A. Jindrick, Vice President of Global Marketing, has a background in high-tech product management. As Director of Associate Services, Deborah Campbell joins the company with over 17 years of experience in human resource management.

"Success in a high tech industry, specifically in the wireless communications industry, requires flexibility and innovation," noted Mr. Larkin. "We recognize the need for fresh, yet experienced leaders with a vision of the future to drive this innovation." The company's new 23,000-square-foot corporate office is located at 4645 East Cotton Center Boulevard, Building Two, Phoenix, Arizona, 85016. The global administration, finance and accounting, associate services, sales, marketing, research and development, and operations departments coordinate global efforts from this location.

The new building includes a design, prototyping, and light-manufacturing center. Galtronics has additional design and manufacturing centers in Livingston, Scotland; Tianjin, China; and Tiberias, Israel. Sales offices are also located in Athens, Georgia; Mexico City, Mexico; San Diego, California; San Francisco, California; Seoul, South Korea; and Tokyo, Japan.

Since Galtronics functions as a full partner throughout the product development process, its design and testing capabilities are also being expanded. Phoenix, Arizona and Tianjin, China will become full service design centers with the installation of new NSI spherical near-field and far-field anechoic test chambers. These advanced test chambers enable Galtronics engineering teams to accurately monitor the performance of its antenna products. The Phoenix design center was completed on March 15, and the Tianjin anechoic chamber will be in operation this May. The company also has a full service center in Tiberias.

During the last year, Galtronics has significantly enhanced its manufacturing efficiencies in all production facilities through the implementation of Six Sigma processes and aggressive metrics management.

"Although we are experiencing positive sales growth, we remain dedicated to operating as efficiently as possible in order to exceed customer expectations in time to market and product quality, " stated Robert Swelgin, Vice President of Operations.
