Emerson & Cuming Microwave Products has introduced a series of elastomeric microwave absorbers, dubbed Eccosorb BSR. These absorbers are designed to eliminate surface currents, reflections, and cavity resonance that diminish the performance of RF amplifiers, oscillators, and other microwave devices. Available with a PSA SS-6 tape, these silicon-based materials are available in two types: BSR-1 and BSR-2. BSR-1 is recommended for 5 to 12 GHz applications while BSR-2 is designed for 10 to 25 GHz applications. Both absorbers are supplied in five standard thicknesses of 0.01, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, and 0.1 in.
