Efore Plc, with offices in Helsinki, Finland, designs, manufactures, and markets power electronics. Efore's products include rectifier systems, inverters, and custom designed power solutions for many international companies in telecommunications, industrial automation, and medical electronics. Many global companies rely upon Efore for their power supplies and systems. Brand names such as Nokia, Ericsson, Tellabs, Siemens, and ABB turn to Efore for their power needs.

Efore is an innovative company working with customers to achieve the best designs and products. For example, the Company has designed a rectifier module for industrial, datacom, and telecommunication applications, where the cooling is based on a patent pending natural convection design. The outside of the rectifier module has shaped ribs, which direct airflow through the ribs by natural convection. This rectifier module known as the ERM consists of only three main parts: cast aluminum body, component board and aluminum lid. Also, Efore has released a new, digital version of its Efore Power Operating System (EPOS) rectifier system. The EPOS solution provides the possibility to monitor and control the system's operations through a wireless terminal connection. On duty service staff can see the information about the system's state and failure alarms with a mobile phone equipped with a terminal feature, such as the Nokia Communicator.

The total sales in 2000 were $60 million and over 500 persons were employed. Efore was founded in 1975 and is listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange (HEX). Efore has offices and manufacturing plants in Finland, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the United States, and China. Its affiliate Power Innovation is located in Germany.
