EEPROM Microcontrollers

Microchip Technology has expanded its family of 8-pin, 8-b microcontrollers with the development of the PIC12CE518 and PIC12CE519 devices. The PIC12CE518 features 512 words of one-time-programmable (OTP) program memory and 25 B of user random-access memory (RAM). The PIC12CE519 device offers 1024 words of OTP program memory and 41 B of user RAM. Both microcontrollers contain 16 B of on-board electrically-erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM). The controllers also provide six multiplexed input/output (I/O) pins with on-chip oscillator, 33 single-word instructions, a 1 ms instruction cycle at 4 MHz, an eight-level deep hardware stack, an 8-b real-time clock/counter with 8-b prescaler and a watchdog timer.
