Decibel Earns Patent for Self-Tuning Resonant Cavity Filter

The Decibel Products division of Allen Telecom has received a US patent for the self-tuning resonant cavity filter used in its autotune combiners.

Autotune combiners let multiple frequencies pass through a common antenna. These combiners automatically retune to a frequency-changed RF signal.

Using the patented filter technology, design engineers can pre-characterize autotune combiners without the need to scan the entire frequency spectrum. As a result, Decibel says engineers can quickly and easily tune a combiner to a proper frequency.
