Centurion Expands Engineering and Manufacturing in Malaysia and China

Centurion International has announced plans for expanding operations in the fast-growing Asia market, opening a new manufacturing facility in Penang, Malaysia, and adding of complete mechanical design and engineering services at its current manufacturing facility in Shanghai, China—a wholly owned subsidiary.

"This expansion serves as the final link in Centurion's plans to be the only truly global developer and manufacturer of wireless antenna and battery products with engineering, logistics and production capabilities in each major international market."

Centurion is positioned to take advantage of opportunities in Europe and Asia—the two fastest growing international markets. The announced enhancements will enable Centurion to become the leading developer and manufacturer in Asia as well. The Asia-Pacific market is also supported by sales teams in Seoul, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Shanghai.

The new Malaysia plant, which will manufacture power products and antennas, is consistent with Centurion's strategic plans to enhance services and support and be geographically close to its customers and partners. Centurion plans to ramp manufacturing operations in Penang during the next six to 12 months, and to pursue ISO 9002 certification for the plant. Long-range plans also call for the addition of complete research and design services at the facility.
