BVS Awarded Multiple Contracts From AWS 2.1 GHz Licensees
These contracts are comprised of multiple AWS 2.1 GHz Gator stimulus transmitters and Coyote dual modular receiver systems. "We have recently had to increase our production capability and facilities to meet the volume of orders we have received for both 2.1 GHz AWS bands and 2.5 & 3.5 GHz WiMAX drive-study equipment." said Scott Schober, President & CEO of BVS.
The top AWS license holders are racing to upgrade their networks with advanced technologies allowing them to deploy higher quality voice services as well as data services. The FCC auctioned off the Advanced Wireless Services (AWS) spectrum raising nearly $14 Billion at the end of 2006. Now the licensees are procuring advanced BVS test equipment to effectively measure how well the signals will propagate within the AWS bands.
Over the past 12 years, BVS has shipped thousands of Gator Class A transmitters around the world making it one of the most recognizable stimulus transmitters available. Gator customers typically point out the product's light weight, ruggedness and reliability as its strengths.
For over 7 years, Coyote dual-channel receivers have been used in the field by numerous engineers and installers. All key components of the Coyote are hot-swappable in the field. Customers recognize this combination of modularity and performance as the greatest benefit to using Coyote.
