Bluetooth Solution

The BlueThunder Bluetooth solution is an integration of the Bluetooth protocol stack with the VxWorks real-time operating system (RTOS), for quick and easy integration of wireless connectivity features into smart, connected devices. The solution is integrated with key board-support packages, device drivers, and a console management application to allow developers to easily add it to their device.

Because it's pre-ported with VxWorks, developers can simply plug the solution into their application to provide Bluetooth wireless connectivity. In addition, the management console application allows developers to monitor and manage a device, including device inquiry and device naming. It also provides a framework for security and encryption control, configuration management, and status monitoring of the Bluetooth network.

As a pre-qualified Bluetooth component, the product allows device manufacturers the right to use the Bluetooth logo and related patents, a requirement for any company wishing to sell devices that use Bluetooth technology. This pre-qualification translates into lower risk, reduced qualification time, and cost savings for OEMs developing applications that use Bluetooth technology. Using pre-qualified components increases the likelihood of interoperability with other Bluetooth products early in the development cycle, helping OEMs get to market faster.
