Metuchen, NJ -- Berkeley Varitronics Systems, Inc. has been awarded multiple contracts totaling more than $1 million.

A major North American WiMAX carrier has selected BVS as the 4G WiMAX hardware supplier for the aggressive 4G build-out taking place in the U.S. The contracts combined represent more than (100) instruments comprised of Gator 2.5 GHz WiMAX stimulus transmitters and Coyote dual-band modular receivers.

The initial contracts solidify BVS' commitment to the WiMAX growth that is taking place globally. "We are excited to have received these initial orders and have has significanlty increased production efforts to meet the industry's demand", said Scott Schober, President & CEO of BVS.

Over the past 12 years, BVS has shipped thousands of Gator Class A transmitters around the world. Gator customers typically point out the product's light weight, ruggedness, and reliability as its strengths.

For over 7 years, Coyote dual-channel receivers have been used in the field by numerous engineers and installers. All key components of the Coyote are hot-swappable in the field. Customers recognize this combination of modularity and performance as one of the benefits to using Coyote.
