Battery Tester

Marconi Instruments' PFX40W-08 charge/discharge battery tester evaluates the electrical characteristics of nickel cadmium (NiCd), nickel metal hydride (NiMH) and lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries used in handheld and portable devices. The instrument's output consists of an isolated, eight channel multiple output with independent configuration operating in two output ranges of +0 to +10 VDC and +0 to +20 VDC. Isolation voltage between each channel is +50 VDC. Equipped with its own central processing unit (CPU), the battery tester performs characteristic, life and judgment testing in a stand-alone environment. In addition, the tester offers five modes for secondary battery charge/discharge characteristic testing. Arbitrary and independent condition settings can be made for each channel when in operation.
