ArrayComm Updates IntelliWave System, Signs Distribution Agreement

ArrayComm announced at PCS '98 that it has expanded the capabilities of the IntelliWave wireless local loop (WLL) system. The expanded smart-antenna system is equipped with a 64 kb/s data rate. It also offers a choice of subscriber units, payphone interoperability, added choices in base station software, and expanded operations management system capabilities.

The expanded IntelliWave system is powered by the IntelliCell processor, which intelligently combines signals from antenna arrays to provide increases in signal quality, spectral efficiency, and coverage.

ArrayComm has also signed a new distribution agreement with Batik Equipamentos S.A. Under the pact, Batik will distribute ArrayComm's IntelliWave products in Latin America.
