Andrew Acquires Conifer; Expands Product Line

Orland Park, IL-based N/A. has acquired Conifer Corp. (Burlington, IA), a privately-owned company that designs and manufactures multichannel multipoint distribution service (MMDS) subscriber products, wireless local-area network (WLAN) equipment, and direct broadcast satellite (DBS) accessories.

Conifer's experience includes the development and design of high bandwidth RF networking equipment for wireless data applications and the design and high volume production of active and passive microwave products. This will allow Andrew to gain high speed wireless Internet MMDS customer premise equipment technology, as well as Conifer's RF products, which include antennas, amplifiers, filters, downconverters, transverters, wireless phone jacks, power supplies, and installation accessories.
