Analog Devices Offers Air Interface Protocol Software For Wireless Product Design

Norwood, MA -- Analog Devices has introduced a new development tool for its ISM band transceivers. ADIismLINK protocol software speeds wireless product development by allowing designers to establish a radio link between multiple ADF702x transceivers straight out of the box. ADIismLINK simplifies the design of wireless equipment in a wide range of applications, including home and building automation, industrial automation, consumer and communication electronics, alarm and security systems, and smart sensor networks.

"The addition of ADIismLINK protocol software gives Analog Devices one of the most robust development platforms available in the industry today for wireless designs in the ISM bands," said Christian Kermarrec, VP, RF and wireless systems, Analog Devices. "Much like our successful ADIsimPLL tool, ADIismLINK helps simplify the system design challenges of wireless applications, resulting in more streamlined designs and ultimately faster time to market for our customers."

Utilizing the ADIismLINK tool, wireless product designers can transfer data between multiple units (slave node) and a master node (another ADF702x device) without having to spend time developing their own protocol software. The ADIismLINK software is available as part of the existing hardware development kits offered by ADI for its ADF702x family. The ADIismLINK software is also transportable to ADI's MicroConverter family of precision analog microcontrollers which combine precision analog functions, such as high resolution ADCs and DACs, a voltage reference, and temperature sensor, with an industry-standard microcontroller and embedded flash memory.

ADIismLINK is available as part of the of the development platform for the ADF702x family of ISM Transceivers.
