6U CompactPCI CPU
It utilizes a Pentium III processor in a 370-pin FCPGA (Flip Chip Pin Grid Array) package, which operates at a clock speed of up to 850 MHz, with a 256 Kbytes on-die full speed L2 cache and new Advanced Transfer Cache technology. The 0.18 micron Coppermine technology provides reduced power consumption over other Pentium microprocessors.
The board features a 64-bit CompactPCI interface, which permits data transfer rates of up to 264 Mbytes/sec. It provides up to 768 Mbytes of cacheable ECC memory using three 168-pin DIMM sockets. The unit is available in both standard (0°C to +60°C) and extended (-25°C to +75°C) operating temperature ranges.
The CPU features a high-definition AGP/VGA graphics controller with 4 Mbytes of video RAM (maximum resolution is 1600x1200 pixels), two Fast Ethernet interfaces, one Ultrawide SCSI interface, and a slot for PMC mezzanine modules (with 3.3V capability). It can be equipped with an optional IDE-compatible hard drive disk, up to 144 MHz DiskOnChip Flash memory, and a second CompactPCI bus so that up to 14 slots can be addressed. Other features include rear I/O via P3, P4, and P5 connectors, and hot-swap support to allow peripheral boards to be removed or added in the "power-on" condition. Software support is via Windows NT and/or real-time operating systems such as VxWorks and QNX.
