1-A Voltage Regulators

National Semiconductor has released three 1-A voltage regulators-the LM317 adjustable positive regulator, the LM337 adjustable negative regulator, and the LM340 fixed +5 VDC positive regulator. The LM317 delivers 2 percent output voltage tolerance and is adjustable down to +1.2 VDC. The LM337 is an adjustable regulator with an output voltage range of -1.2 to -27 VDC. The LM340 regulator features an output tolerance voltage of +/-4 percent at 25°C. These three-terminal regulators are housed in SOT-223 packages.
