ABL90 FLEX Now Offers Wireless Connectivity

New wireless capability enhances portability and supports real-time uploads of patient data to the HIS/LIS/EMR.

(PRWEB) - Westlake, OH: Radiometer’s ABL90 FLEX is now available with optional wireless capability, enhancing the point-of-care analyzer’s utility, portability and flexibility for clinical applications.

The compact acute care analyzer supports full connectivity without wires or cables and can be conveniently placed near the patient in the close quarters of an OR, ED, ICU or stepdown unit.

Fully operational on battery, the analyzer supports real-time uploads of patient data while being transported between various clinical departments in the hospital. Common encryption protocols ensure data security on the wireless network. Small and lightweight, the analyzer may be carried or moved on an optional rolling stand.

More about the ABL90 FLEX

Designed specifically for point-of-care (POC) testing, Radiometer’s ABL90 FLEX is a test-select analyzer that measures 17 parameters*, including blood gases, electrolytes, metabolites and CO-oximetry, from just 65 μL of whole blood.

Equally well-suited to lab or POC applications, the ABL90 FLEX offers automatic quality management (AQM) and easy replacement of consumables.

The ABL90 FLEX is available with 100-, 300-, 600- and 900-test sensor cassettes for low-, medium- and high-volume testing.

In 2010, the ABL90 FLEX was awarded the prestigious Medical Design Excellence Award in recognition of a design that innovates the face of healthcare as we know it today.
