Cirronet is a wireless RF transceiver module that allows Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to incorporate wireless data communications into their product lines. The proprietary Recombinant Spread Spectrum technology virtually eliminates multipath fading, according to the company. The module operates at either half duplex or full duplex, and the high channel capacity (21 separate frequency channels) allows the maximum number of systems to coexist in the band. License-free operation is available in the 902 to 928 MHz band.
Applications include industrial telemetry: remote monitoring, automatic utility meter reading, process control, environmental monitoring, SCADA, and transportation telemetry. Applications in portable data terminals are also available, including point of sale, order entry, warehouse/inventory management, credit card verification, and intelligent vending.
