Ultralife Batteries Establishes Ultralife Taiwan

Newark, NY-based Ultralife Batteries Inc. has begun the formal incorporation and initial capitalization of its new facility, Ultralife Taiwan Inc. (UTI). This new venture was formed with the PGT Energy Corp. (PGT), together with a group of investors, to produce Ultralife advanced solid polymer rechargeable batteries in Taiwan. The UTI facility is located within Taiwan's Science Park. Production is expected to begin in the second half of calendar year 2000.
