Richardson RFPD Introduces Two New GaN On SiC Low Noise Amplifiers From TriQuint

Only GaN LNAs in industry; offer exceptionally high (2W) input power handling

Richardson RFPD, Inc. recently announces immediate availability and full design support capabilities for two new gallium nitride on silicon carbide (GaN on SiC) low noise amplifiers (LNAs) from TriQuint.

The TGA2611 and TGA2612 are broadband LNAs fabricated on TriQuint's production 0.25μm GaN on SiC process (TQGaN25). Covering 2-6 GHz and 6-12 GHz, respectively, the devices are able to survive up to 2W of input power without performance degradation, providing exceptional flexibility with regard to receive chain protection. The new LNAs also feature low noise figure and high gain as shown in the below table.

Both devices are available today in die form and fully-matched to 50 ohms with integrated DC blocking caps on both I/O ports allowing for simple system integration. These market-leading GaN LNAs are& ideally-suited to support both military and commercial radar and communication systems.
