Richardson RFPD Introduces New 75 Ω, High Linearity, Low Noise Amplifier From MACOM For CATV DOCSIS 3.1

MAAM-011251 operates from 5 to 1218 MHz

Richardson RFPD, Inc. announced recently the availability and full design support capabilities for a new RF amplifier for CATV applications from MACOM Technology Solutions Inc.

The MAAM-011251 is a single-ended high linearity, low noise figure amplifier operating from 5 to 1218 MHz. It is assembled in a 3-lead SOT-89 plastic package and provides 15 dB of flat gain in both forward- and reverse-path DOCSIS 3.1 applications.

The amplifier provides high gain, low noise and low distortion making it ideally suited for 75 Ω infrastructure applications. It can also be tuned for 50 Ω wideband applications and narrow band applications up to 6 GHz.

Additional key features of the MAAM-011251 include:

• 5 V, 100 mA operation
• Noise figure: 1.9 dB typ. @ 45 MHz; 2.3 dB typ. @ 1218 MHz
• CSO: -61 dBc @ 0dB tilt, +32 dBmV per channel output
• CTB: -75 dBc @ 0dB tilt, +32 dBmV per channel output
• Input return loss: 19 dB
• Output return loss: 20 dB
• P1dB: +18 dBm
• Output IP3: +37 dBm
• ESD Class 1C for HBM
