PC Card Wireless LAN Adapter
- Mobility. The PC Card Wireless LAN Adapter sends and receives diffuse infrared in an omnidirectional manner similar to RF adapters, allowing users to move freely within the Wireless Hub Router service area.
- Roaming. The user can seamlessly roam between Wireless Hub Router service areas while maintaining connectivity to Internet and LAN resources.
- Security. Only wireless adapters authorized by the Network Manager can operate in a Wireless Hub Router's wireless coverage area, and because infrared cannot transmit through solid objects, signals remain within the enclosed room making unauthorized ease-dropping nearly impossible.
- Low power consumption. The patented deterministic wireless protocol allows the PC Card Wireless LAN Adapter to go into a power conservation state (sleep), consuming less than 1mA of power a high percentage of the time yet not delay data.
Easy to Connect
The PC Card Wireless LAN Adapter connects into the PC Card slot of any computer running Windows 2000, 98, 95, or NT. The Windows Install Wizard walks the user through a simple and fast installation of device drivers.
Easy to Use
Users log into the wireless network using same login scripts they are familiar with when logging onto their standard wired network. The Spectrix Wireless Network is effectively transparent to the users while eliminating the need for a tethered data cable to their computers.
Easy to Support
Each Wireless Adapter comes with a one-year warranty and free technical support by our world class engineering staff.
