Nokia Joins Wireless LAN Alliance

The Wireless LAN Alliance (WLANA; St. Simons Island, GA), an educational trade association for the wireless local area networking industry, has extended membership to Nokia (Helsinki, Finland).

"WLANA's industry studies, application stories, and white papers provide a service to potential and current users of our products. Joining WLANA is an important step for Nokia in raising industry-wide awareness of wireless LAN technology, while separately Nokia pursues our efforts to promote Nokia's IP Mobility vision," said Vesa Wallden, vice president marketing, Nokia Wireless Business Communications.
